We woke up, ate bread with Nocilla (so surprising I know), fried eggs, and fruit. Then we went off to find Puerta del Sol. Everything between our apartment and there was bustling with tourists and Madrileños, clothing and shoe shops, touristy shops, and wide streets of cobblestone on the bottom with big, colorful squared cloths and blue sky at the top.
Puerta del Sol itself was beautiful too, studded with the famous metro station (the outside made of mirrors), a statued person, men illegally selling goods hastily spread out on blankets, and shops. We went into the huge Apple store, the Aple symbol glowing on the black stone building.
Funnily enough, the iPhone 7 came out on this day, so there were even more tons of people than you would usually find at an Apple store. My dad got the charger he needed, and we were off to Mary Paz, a shoe store that has nice, pretty cheap shoes.

Once we got our fill of the plaza, we walked back towards the apartment, stopping in a wonderful place called Casa del Libro (think Spanish Barnes and Noble). Then we ate at an Indian restaurant, and the dish Vanessa and I shared was delicious and a mixture of spices, rice, and chicken.

After our eventful morning, we all chilled in the apartment for a while.
Dinner
We decided to do the no-plan plan for dinner; walking around until we saw something that looked good. Everyone and their brother was also outside, enjoying the nightlife. It was very interesting to see all of the people in the tiny bars with their tiny tables, or in more elegant restaurants or walking into a movie theater. We found a restaurant a few minutes into our walk, and the food was absolutely amazing:

Bread with Brie and steak for mua |

A MOLTEN CHOCOLATE CAKE WITH ICE CREAM AND WHIPPED CREAM :))) |
Miraculously, we walked home and slept the glorious food off.
